  11. This  file  contains information not available during the printing
  12. of the  manual.  Please read all the sections before you proceed
  13. with any installation procedure.

  20.      2.   Network driver hangs with Video Blaster MP400 card

  32. The test clip used in this installation software is created by Roger
  33. Goldingay and copyright in the said clip belongs to (c) Aris
  34. Multimedia Entertainment, Inc. 1994 and use of the clip is by their
  35. kind courtesy.

  38. 2. Network driver hangs with Video Blaster MP400 card installed
  39.  
  40. This is because the card is not properly initialised upon boot up.
  41. This problem will only occur on certain systems.
  42. Do not boot up the system with any network drivers. Install the Video
  43. Blaster MP400 software.
  44.  
  45. You will have to run MP400INI before running the network driver
  46. concerned.
  47.  
  48. You can also run MP400INI from your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, before running
  49. the network driver concerned. But the MP400INI command must be placed
  50. after the SET VIDEOBLST_MP400 statement.

  54. 3.   The default interrupt of card is changed to 10
  55.  
  56. The default interrupt of the MP400 card is changed from 15 to 10. This
  57. may not be reflected in your manual.

  61. 4. The Pass Through Audio test has been removed from MP400TST.EXE
  62.  
  63. Due to the redundancy of the test which is similar in functionality to
  64. the Audio Memory Decoding test, we have decided to remove the Pass
  65. Through Audio test.

  69. 5.   VideoCD not playing properly on certain systems with EMM386.
  70.  
  71. On certain systems using the EMM386.EXE utility supplied with DOS, playing
  72. VideoCD titles (VideoCD 1.1, VideoCD 2.0, Karaoke CD, CDI) using the Windows
  73. CTMPEG.EXE application will result in failure with an error message.

  75. This may be due to the presence of the NOEMS switch in the EMM386 driver.
  76. To get around the problem, edit the CONFIG.SYS and change the NOEMS keyword
  77. on the EMM386 line to RAM.  For example:

  79.    OLD:       Device=c:\dos\emm386.exe noems
  80.    NEW:       Device=c:\dos\emm386.exe ram
